ILEDAK Field Visits to Our Faculty of Communication’s Radio, Television, and Cinema and New Media and Communication Departments Completed

Our University’s Faculty of Communication, including the Radio, Television, and Cinema and New Media and Communication Departments, applied for accreditation through the Communication Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (İLEDAK) in 2025.

As part of this process, field visits were conducted by the İLEDAK evaluation team between November 23-26, 2025. During the visit, the team reviewed the programs’ self-assessment reports, supporting evidence, and relevant university units on site. The Faculty of Communication management evaluated the process through various interviews and meetings with academic and administrative staff, as well as students.

The evaluation team also received information about the University’s accreditation and quality processes during meetings attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Kanca and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. M. Yıldırım Üçtuğ and Prof. Dr. Ş. Güniz Küçükgüzel.

At the exit meeting concluding the site visit, the Evaluation Team Leader reviewed the overall process and provided feedback in a session attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Kanca. The final decision regarding the programs’ accreditation will be communicated by İLEDAK in the coming period.
