New Media and Communication Department Signs Collaboration Protocol with SaveButonu & GameDev.ist

The Department of New Media and Communication at Fenerbahçe University’s Faculty of Communication finalized its collaboration protocol with the SaveButonu & GameDev.ist team on September 29, 2025, with the official signing completed today. This partnership with SaveButonu & GameDev.ist, an influential organization in the digital media sector, was established to enhance students’ practical experience and industry engagement.

The process, coordinated by Research Assistant Buse Erel from the Department of New Media and Communication, included contributions from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hikmet Tosyalı, Asst. Prof. Dr. Emine Sırmalı Kayacan (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication), Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin Güregen Dereboyu (Chair of the Department of New Media and Communication), Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilhan Apak, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Erhan Ayberk, and Research Assistant Ecem Ergül. SaveButonu & GameDev.ist was represented by Founder Eran Küçük, Editor-in-Chief Kerem Doğan Karakoç, and Editor Beril Özge Danacı Küçük.

As part of the collaboration, the SaveButonu team plans to offer students internship and hands-on training opportunities, workshops, seminars, and talks. Joint projects and events in the field of digital media will also be organized to strengthen students’ professional experience and sectoral competencies.

This protocol represents an important step in advancing closer collaboration between academia and industry, contributing to the development of students’ up-to-date skills and practical knowledge in the digital media field.
