The 11th World Conference on Women's Studies (WCWS 2025), one of the world's leading academic gatherings in the field of feminist studies, was held this year in Bali, Indonesia. Organized by the International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), the conference featured influential academic discussions, original presentations, and global collaborations in the field of women's studies, under the theme “Talking Shop: Feminisms and the Crucial Issues of Our Times.”

More than 200 participants from over 30 countries took part in the event, where our university faculty members Asst. Prof. Dr. Onur Yamaner and Dr. Gökçe Özkılıçcı successfully represented Turkey with their presentations. With their paper titled “Political Participation and Perceived Discrimination Levels in Turkish Women: The Moderating Role of Gender,” our academics addressed the forms of political participation among women in Turkey and the moderating effect of gender on this process, using an interdisciplinary approach.

This presentation made important contributions to discussions on increasing women's representation in the public sphere and exploring gender equality policies in greater depth. The active participation of our faculty members in this prestigious international conference continues to strengthen the academic visibility of our university in the field of social sciences.
