Heroes and Enemies: Conflict in a Story Activity

Organized in collaboration with Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Communication and the Digital Storytelling Club, the event “Heroes and Enemies: Conflict in Storytelling” was held on Monday, May 13, 2025, in classroom B Block 214.
At the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Erdem Tatlı from Istanbul Commerce University Faculty of Communication discussed the role of conflict in creative narratives and how story fiction transforms through characters. Topics covered included the power of narrative, character construction, and the function of conflict in storytelling.
The event, which attracted great interest from students, also featured a practical workshop. Under Dr. Tatlı’s guidance, participating students created their own stories and practiced incorporating conflict, effectively reinforcing theoretical knowledge through hands-on experience. At the conclusion, Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Gülay Öztürk presented Asst. Prof. Dr. Erdem Tatlı with a certificate of appreciation for his contributions.
