İnci Gürel, a Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology (English), visited Heidelberg University, one of Germany’s leading universities, under the Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility program.
During her visit, she held one-on-one meetings with Prof. Dr. Jan Rummel, a highly respected academic at the university. She gained in-depth insights into the experimental studies conducted in the cognitive psychology laboratories and closely observed the methodologies employed.

Prof. Rummel’s research played a direct role in shaping Gürel’s master’s thesis. She received positive feedback on the presentation she gave during the final stage of her thesis. As a result of their discussions, they mutually agreed to collaborate on a future research project in their shared areas of interest.

This international academic mobility was a significant step not only in terms of individual academic development but also for fostering sustainable scientific collaboration at the institutional level. Her valuable experience continues to enhance the visibility and engagement of our university within the European academic community.
