The workshop titled “From Film to Digital: Design in Cinema,” organized by the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department of Fenerbahçe University’s Faculty of Communication, was held on Wednesday, December 18, in classroom B313 of Block B. The event was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Neşe Kars Tayanç and organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Ahmet Seçmen, a faculty member at Beykoz University.
The workshop focused on the transformation of design concepts in cinema from the analog era to digital production processes. It examined the effects of digitization on cinematic narrative, visual design, and production practices through contemporary examples. Participants gained comprehensive insight into the possibilities digital technologies offer for cinema design and the sector-wide implications of this transformation.
The event concluded as a productive workshop that supported both applied and theoretical educational approaches, bringing together students from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema with academics specializing in cinema and digital production.
