IEEE Türkiye Section Opens the Academic Year with a Seminar at Fenerbahçe University

The IEEE Türkiye Section proudly inaugurated the new academic year with an Opening Seminar held at Fenerbahçe University, marking an inspiring start to the semester for students and faculty members. The event featured Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Aydın, Chair of the IEEE Türkiye Section, as the keynote speaker, and was moderated by Prof. Dr. Serhan Yarkan, Secretary of the IEEE Türkiye Section.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Nizamettin Aydın emphasized the growing importance of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technological leadership in the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering. He elaborated on IEEE’s global impact as the world’s largest professional technical organization, noting its pivotal role in advancing technology through publications, conferences, and standardization efforts. The seminar also welcomed Prof. Dr. Tunçer Baykaş, Vice Chair of the IEEE Türkiye Section, who delivered an informative presentation introducing the IEEE organization, membership benefits, and volunteer opportunities.
