Economy (English)

The importance of understanding and addressing economic problems continues to grow. With a curriculum designed to equip our graduates to contribute to the shaping of economic policies, we aim to nurture individuals who are inquisitive, research-oriented, and innovative.

Recognizing that economics is a social science, the Department of Economics offers a pluralistic and inclusive curriculum. Our program includes courses in quantitative fields such as mathematics and statistics, alongside subjects from the social sciences such as history, philosophy, and sociology.

As of the 2022–2023 academic year, the Department of Economics (English) was merged with the Department of International Finance and Banking (Turkish, 2021–2022) and the Department of International Finance and Banking (English, 2022–2023). These departments were consolidated and restructured under the unified title of the Department of Economics and Finance.
