Smoke-Free Campus Policy

In accordance with Article 54/1-a (6) of Higher Education Law No. 2547, which prohibits the use of cigarettes, other tobacco products, and electronic cigarettes on university campuses except in areas designated by the University Senate,

With the aim of creating a healthy and civil university environment for all stakeholders of Fenerbahçe University, the principles regarding the Smoke-Free Campus policy, which entered into full effect in the 2025-26 academic year, were defined and unanimously approved.

1. The use of cigarettes, other tobacco products, and electronic cigarettes is prohibited in all indoor and outdoor areas of Fenerbahçe University.

2. Smoking areas may be designated on campus, provided that they are located along the campus boundaries and are clearly separated and properly marked.

3. Prohibited areas are marked with signage.
