The Master of Scienc in Applied Data Science (Non- thesis, English) program aims to train specialists capable of extracting meaningful insights from large and complex datasets, effectively applying statistical and computational methods, and integrating this knowledge into decision-making processes. It seeks to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in data collection, cleaning, visualization, analysis, and prediction.
The program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum covering machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, database systems, natural language processing, and visual data analysis. It enables students to address contemporary data challenges across diverse domains such as healthcare, finance, engineering, social sciences, and sports sciences. In this way, the program supports the production of qualified knowledge applicable to both academic research and industry, embracing an innovative structure that bridges theory and practice.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a four-year undergraduate program offered by a university in Türkiye or by a foreign university recognized as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
For programs taught in a foreign language or requiring foreign language proficiency, applicants must obtain a minimum score of 60 from one of the foreign language exams recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), or hold an equivalent score from an international exam accepted as equivalent, or achieve a comparable score in the English proficiency exam (FBU-Pro) approved by the Senate for graduate students.
Turkish citizens who have completed their undergraduate studies abroad are required to obtain a certificate of equivalence from YÖK for the recognition of the institution from which they graduated. This certificate must be submitted during the university registration process.
