The Master of Science in Computer Engineering (English) program aims to educate engineers capable of conducting scientific research, developing novel approaches through data analysis, and contributing to contemporary developments in the discipline. It provides students with both theoretical foundations and applied skills, enabling specialization in academic research, industry, and technology development.
The program covers a broad range of fields, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, software development, computer networks, cybersecurity, big data analytics, and hardware design. By integrating the core principles of computer engineering with innovative technologies, the program embraces an interdisciplinary approach to contribute to digital transformation processes across individual and institutional levels.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a four-year undergraduate program offered by a university in Türkiye or by a foreign university recognized as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
Applicants are required to obtain a minimum score of 55 in the quantitative score type of the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES), or hold an equivalent score from an international exam recognized by YÖK, taken within the last five years.
For programs taught in a foreign language or requiring foreign language proficiency, applicants must obtain a minimum score of 60 from one of the foreign language exams recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), or hold an equivalent score from an international exam accepted as equivalent, or achieve a comparable score in the English proficiency exam (FBU-Pro) approved by the Senate for graduate students.
Turkish citizens who have completed their undergraduate studies abroad are required to obtain a certificate of equivalence from YÖK for the recognition of the institution from which they graduated. This certificate must be submitted during the university registration process.
Admission Requirements for International Students
Applicants must be graduates of the Faculties of Engineering, or of undergraduate programs in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences and Teacher Education Programs in these fields, such as Mathematics and Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Space Sciences, offered by universities in Türkiye or by foreign universities recognized through an equivalence or recognition certificate issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
