MSC SPORT SCIENCES (NON-THESIS)

The aim of the non-thesis master's program in Sport Sciences is a graduate education program that aims to transform the academic education in the field of sport sciences into practice by gainning students the ability to access information, compile, interpret and evaluate the information while teaching them scientific research methods in the multidisciplinary field of sport sciences.

With the master's program in Sport Sciences, students gain knowledge on professional issues in the field of sport sciences and increase their experiences on how to use existing knowledge in practice.   The program with a multidisciplinary feature covers a wide range of study fields such as the mechanics of human movement, the adaptation mechanisms of the organism, sports, activity and inactivity, interaction of physical activity with environmental and social factors.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a four-year undergraduate program offered by a university in Türkiye or by a foreign university recognized as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Turkish citizens who have completed their undergraduate studies abroad are required to obtain a certificate of equivalence from YÖK for the recognition of the institution from which they graduated. This certificate must be submitted during the university registration process.

 

Admission Requirements for International Students

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a four-year undergraduate program offered by universities in Türkiye or by foreign universities recognized through an equivalence or recognition certificate issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

For graduate programs taught in Turkish, international applicants must either be graduates of a bachelor’s or graduate program taught in Turkish at a higher education institution in Türkiye or abroad, or present an official certificate demonstrating at least B2 level proficiency in Turkish, issued by the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center of Fenerbahçe University, the Yunus Emre Institute, or another Turkish language teaching center of a university in Türkiye.

All documents must be prepared in Turkish or English. For documents issued in other languages, notarized translations in Turkish or English must also be submitted.

Transcript (officially signed and stamped by the university, or obtained from e-Devlet)

Military Service Status Certificate (from e-Devlet)

YÖK Equivalency Certificate / Recognition Certificate

(For international applicants applying to master’s or doctoral programs, submission of an equivalency certificate is not mandatory except in health-related fields. Applicants may apply with a “Recognition Certificate” obtained from the YÖK. However, they are advised to initiate the equivalency process for professional practice. For graduate programs in Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, and Midwifery, the diploma equivalency certificate must be submitted at the time of application.)

The ranking of applicants is determined based on the undergraduate grade point average and the interview results, as specified in the admission requirements. In the event that principal candidates do not register, the same procedure will be applied to the reserve candidates. The total program quota is 30.
