The 1st “Zero Waste for Health and the Future” Symposium, organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences, was held on 02 June 2026 at our university with broad participation.
The symposium addressed the reflections of sustainable environmental approaches in the field of health, while the impact of the zero-waste approach on individual and public health was evaluated by experts from various disciplines.
Sessions covered topics such as environmental health, sustainable living, waste management, recycling practices, and the responsibilities of healthcare professionals regarding environmental sustainability. Participants had the opportunity to gain insights into potential practices for a sustainable future based on current scientific knowledge.
Throughout the symposium week, various workshops and awareness activities organized by students and academics were also held. These activities aimed to promote zero-waste awareness and encourage environmentally friendly lifestyles.
