The projects selected for funding under the 2026 First Call of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program have been announced.
Research Project No. 226S212, titled "Evaluation of the Antiurolithiatic and Nephroprotective Effects of Elaeagnus angustifolia L. Fruit Ethanol Extract in Ethylene Glycol-Induced Calcium Oxalate Nephropathy," has been approved for funding. The project is led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Özkan Kam from the Department of Medical Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul Medeniyet University, with Prof. Dr. Göksel Şener, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology at our Faculty, serving as the project advisor.
