Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Prof. Dr. Derya Oktay, Represents Fenerbahçe University at World Renewable Energy Congress in Australia

Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Prof. Dr. Derya Oktay, participated as an invited speaker at the World Renewable Energy Congress 2026, held in Perth, Australia, and hosted by Murdoch University. She represented both Fenerbahçe University and Türkiye as the sole Turkish participant.

The congress, attended by researchers, politicians, and industry leaders from multiple countries and disciplines, featured Prof. Dr. Oktay’s presentation titled “The Quest for Genuine Green Architecture in Contemporary Developments.” In her talk, she offered a critical assessment of the concept of green architecture, presented the Net-Zero building model aligned with her perspective, and shared insights on the future of net-zero architecture.

Prof. Dr. Oktay also contributed as a speaker on the panel “Policy, Finance, and Governance for Net-Zero” and chaired a session on the theme of “Built Environment”.
