The Department of Sports Management at the Faculty of Sport Sciences organized a seminar titled “Civil Society and Volunteering” on 02.06.2026 to enhance students’ awareness of social responsibility, volunteering culture, and civil society engagement. Within the scope of the event, M. Cem Çolakoğlu, an experienced civil society professional, participated as a guest speaker and shared insights on the structure of non-governmental organizations, the social impact of volunteering activities, volunteer management, and individual participation processes.
The seminar supported the applied dimension of social responsibility, volunteering, and stakeholder collaboration topics included in the program, enabling students to engage with sector representatives and gain professional awareness. The Q&A session encouraged active student participation and provided information on career and volunteering opportunities in the civil society sector.
This activity was conducted as a stakeholder-engaged event supporting student development, external stakeholder participation, and social contribution within SPORAK criteria.
