Organized by the Fenerbahçe University Quality Society Club in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the event titled “Experiences in Accreditation Processes for Engineering Programs” was held online on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 14:00. During the event, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yıldırım Üçtuğ, a founding member of MÜDEK and Vice Rector of Fenerbahçe University, met with students.

At the event, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yıldırım Üçtuğ discussed the contributions of accreditation processes in engineering programs to educational quality. The program included discussions on the procedures universities follow to accredit engineering programs, the benefits of accreditation for students and institutions, its impact on international recognition, how a culture of continuous improvement is reflected in course content and teaching methods, and the role of student feedback in evaluation processes.

The program also covered MÜDEK’s establishment process and the development of its accreditation system, as well as evaluations of how accredited engineering programs align with international quality standards and the contributions of accreditation processes to engineering education.
