Literary Translation and Publishing Event Held

On April 6, 2026, at 10:00 in Room 409 of Block B, Levent Alarslan, Editor and Translator at Everest Publishing House, met with students and faculty members at the event titled “Literary Translation and Publishing”, organized by the Department of English Language and Literature under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Başak Çün.

During the event, Alarslan shared his career path and discussed his experiences in the publishing and literary translation sectors, highlighting how a foundation in translation theory can guide a translator’s decision-making processes. He also emphasized key aspects of literary translation, such as mastery of the target language, analysis of the source text for translation purposes, and contextual interpretation.
