“One Stroke, One Life” Event Held by the Sports Management Department

Within the scope of the Volunteerism in Sports course conducted by the Department of Sports Management at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Fenerbahçe University, the “One Stroke, One Life” seminar was held under the supervision of Dr. Serda Örnek. The event featured Batuhan Nadir Bingöl, an experienced professional in lifeguarding, as guest speaker.

The seminar addressed drowning prevention, water safety, basic lifeguarding practices, and the importance of correct intervention in emergency situations. Participants had the opportunity to gain knowledge and awareness that can save lives not only in sporting activities but also in daily life.

Contributing to the development of social responsibility awareness, the event once again demonstrated that sport is not limited to performance and competition, but also encompasses values such as life preservation, solidarity, and volunteerism. Raising awareness of water safety and ensuring preparedness for potential risks contributes to a safer and more responsible society.
