Online Discussion on “Barrier-Free Communication” Held

The online discussion titled “Barrier-Free Communication”, organized by the Department of New Media and Communication at the Faculty of Communication, was held on December 17 via Microsoft Teams.

The discussion featured Dr. Mustafa Öztürk, Founding Director and Education Coordinator of Biruni EDO. The event was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. A. Erhan Ayberk, with Research Assistant Buse Erel serving as the host. During the discussion, the concepts of inclusivity, accessibility, and awareness in communication were addressed, and evaluations of the digital and social dimensions of barrier-free communication were shared.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of inclusive approaches in communication processes, accessibility-focused practices, and barrier-free communication within the context of new media.
