At the “Preparation for Business Life and Digital Portfolio Design” event organized by the Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Communication, Department of New Media and Communication, Egemen Gümüş, Corporate Communications Specialist at Polisan Kansai Boya, and Feyza Ehlidil, Brand Consultant, met with students.
Sharing their experiences regarding professional processes extending from corporate communications to brand management, Gümüş and Ehlidil made evaluations on career planning, personal brand management, professional visibility, and current expectations of the business world. During the event, competencies that students aiming for a career in the field of communication should pay attention to while preparing for the sector, effective representation on digital platforms, and portfolio creation processes were addressed. The guests also shared examples from their own career journeys, contributing to students gaining awareness regarding the transition process into professional life. Continuing with the answering of students' questions, the event provided a productive meeting environment that strengthened sector-academy interaction.
At the end of the event, for their contributions, certificates were presented to Egemen Gümüş and Feyza Ehlidil by the Head of the New Media and Communication Department, Asst. Prof. Esra Pelin Güregen Dereboyu, and Asst. Prof. Emine Sırmalı Kayacan.
