The 2025 evaluation results of the “We Are Volunteers Project Support Call”, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), have been announced.
Within this scope, the “Life with Sensors Project”, carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Fenerbahçe University, together with third- and fourth-year students from the Department of Nursing, has been awarded support under the “We Are Volunteers” call.
The project aims to increase access to continuous glucose monitoring sensors for individuals over the age of 19 living with Type 1 diabetes in the Ataşehir district. In addition to raising awareness about sensor use, improving diabetes management, and enhancing quality of life, the project also contributes to health literacy by providing students with volunteer experience in the field.
We congratulate all of our students and our academic advisor who contributed to the projects awarded support and thank them for their valuable efforts in strengthening volunteer-based initiatives at our university.
