The 17th International Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (AHFE 2026) Conference, bringing together international research and innovation in the fields of human factors, ergonomics, and the future of work, was successfully held in Istanbul from 20-24 July 2026, hosted by Fenerbahçe University.
This prestigious international conference brought together scientists, researchers, academics, and professionals from around the world. AHFE 2026 welcomed more than 1,400 participants from 71 countries across multiple continents, both in person and online, demonstrating a strong global presence at Fenerbahçe University.
Throughout the conference, participants presented and discussed the latest research and emerging developments in a wide range of fields, including human factors and ergonomics, artificial intelligence, occupational health and safety, the future of work, human-technology interaction, and the design of future work systems.
The International Scientific Community Gathered in Istanbul
The gathering of academics, researchers, and professionals from around the world in Istanbul further strengthened Türkiye's visibility as an international hub for major scientific and academic events.
Beyond the exchange of scientific knowledge, AHFE 2026 provided an important platform for fostering new collaborations among universities, researchers, and professionals from different countries and disciplines.
Hosted by Fenerbahçe University, the conference created a dynamic environment for international academic exchange, scientific collaboration, interdisciplinary dialogue, and the development of new research partnerships.
During the opening ceremony and following the successful conclusion of the conference, sincere appreciation was expressed to the AHFE Organizing Committee, the leadership of Fenerbahçe University, its academic and administrative staff, the students and volunteers who supported the event, as well as the keynote speakers, researchers, and all participants whose contributions made the conference possible.
Following five days of scientific sessions, international knowledge exchange, and collaborative networking, AHFE 2026 concluded successfully in Istanbul on 24 July 2026, reaffirming its position as one of the leading international gatherings for the global human factors and ergonomics research community.
