The “See Your Waste, Know Your Plate” Seminar, organized by the Nutrition and Dietetics Department/Club of the Faculty of Health Sciences, was held on 1 June 2026 with the participation of students and academics.
The seminar featured two guest speakers and addressed the environmental, economic, and social impacts of food waste. It also emphasized sustainable eating habits, conscious consumption, and the importance of proper portion planning. Participants gained comprehensive knowledge on methods to reduce waste in daily life and sustainable nutrition approaches.
The session also highlighted the impact of individual dietary choices on environmental sustainability, as well as the importance of efficient resource use alongside healthy and balanced nutrition. Speakers shared evidence-based recommendations for reducing food loss and answered participants’ questions.
The well-attended event concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers and a group photograph.
