Within the scope of the CEP301 Social Responsibility Project course at Fenerbahçe University, students contributed to improving the living spaces of Alzheimer’s patients through the 'Let's Color Life Together' and 'We Remember with Colors' projects, organized in cooperation with the Alzheimer's Day Care House and Polisan Kansai Boya.
The project 'Let's Color Life Together,' conducted under CEP301 Section 3 and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Çaloğlu Büyükselçuk, and the project 'We Remember with Colors,' conducted under CEP301 Section 6 and coordinated by Lecturer Hatice Yılmaz, were implemented through collaborative efforts on June 1-2 and June 5, 2026.
As part of the work carried out at the Alzheimer's Day Care House building, students supported the painting and renovation activities. Instead of striking colors that could negatively affect the orientation and behavior of Alzheimer’s patients, calmer and safer tones were preferred to renovate the doors. Thus, contributions were made to making the living spaces within the association safer, more functional, and more aesthetic.
A total of 21 students participated in the projects. Şevval Nur Başelma and Melike Sena Yeni served as the SRP spokespersons for Section 3, while Ilghar Lahiji and Erva Akbaş took on the role of SRP spokespersons for Section 6.
In addition to raising social awareness for Alzheimer’s patients and improving their living spaces, the 'Let's Color Life Together' and 'We Remember with Colors' projects aimed to help students gain experience in volunteerism, teamwork, social solidarity, and social responsibility.
