The 'There is a Color of Remembering Poster Design Competition,' organized by Fenerbahçe University’s Faculty of Communication in collaboration with Polisan Kansai Boya and the Turkey Alzheimer's Association, has concluded. Aimed at raising public awareness about Alzheimer's disease, the competition provided students with the opportunity to transform their creative ideas into designs focused on social responsibility.
The poster designs submitted by the students within the scope of the competition were evaluated by a selection committee consisting of Prof. Dr. Rukiye Gülay Öztürk, Dean of the Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Communication; Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin Güregen Dereboyu, Head of the Department of New Media and Communication; Asst. Prof. Dr. Hilal Aytimur, faculty member of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema; Feyza Ehlidil, Brand Consultant at Polisan Kansai Boya; and Mine Özvardar, Treasurer of the Turkey Alzheimer's Association.
Following the evaluation, Kadir Canakgün, a 3rd-year student in the Department of New Media and Communication, was awarded the first prize. Melisa Durmuş, also a 3rd-year student in the Department of New Media and Communication, claimed second place, while Ravza Arslan, another 3rd-year student from the same department, secured third place. The winning students will also be offered internship opportunities at Polisan Kansai Boya during the summer vacation period.
The winning students were presented with their congratulatory certificates by Prof. Dr. Rukiye Gülay Öztürk, Dean of the Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Communication, during an award ceremony. At the ceremony, the students' creative works and their efforts to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease were highly commended.
Aiming to increase social sensitivity, the competition encouraged students to produce creative designs based on social responsibility, while once again demonstrating the importance of art and design in awareness campaigns.
