June 12, 2026
The T-Shirt Cutting and Sewing Workshop, organized by the Occupational Therapy Department/Club, was held between 1-3 June 2026 with high student participation.
Within the scope of the workshop, participants gained hands-on experience in recycling and sustainable production by repurposing unused textile products. Students learned the processes of cutting t-shirts and sewing bags while developing manual skills, planning production processes, and applying creative problem-solving abilities.
The workshop also aimed to promote zero-waste awareness and sustainable consumption practices. Based on the occupational therapy approach, which supports participation through productive activities, participants produced functional items for daily use while improving teamwork, cooperation, and social interaction skills.
The workshop provided an effective learning experience by raising awareness of recycling and sustainable living while demonstrating the contribution of productive activities to personal development.
