The Waste Stand and the debate titled “There Is Waste, There Is Waste” were organized by the Speech and Language Therapy Department/Club on 5 June 2026 with high student participation. The event aimed to raise awareness of zero waste and sustainable living while enabling participants to express their views on environmental issues and evaluate different perspectives.

Throughout the day, the waste stand provided information on recycling, waste management, and sustainable consumption habits. Informational materials were used to enhance environmental awareness, highlighting the impact of individual responsibility on environmental sustainability.

In the subsequent debate session, students had the opportunity to discuss the causes of waste generation, the importance of recycling practices, and the requirements of sustainable living in an academic discussion environment. Participants demonstrated skills in effective communication, critical thinking, idea development, and public speaking, contributing to a productive debate atmosphere.

Bringing together environmental awareness and communication skills, the event successfully emphasized the importance of individual and collective responsibility for a sustainable future.
