Hosted by the Department of Architecture within the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Fenerbahçe University, the workshop entitled "Public Space and Urban Furniture Design for Earthquake Assembly Areas" was successfully concluded with a Project Exhibition and Certificate Presentation Ceremony, during which the workshop outcomes were presented.
Held on 18 June 2026 in the Main Hall of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the event featured flexible spatial scenarios and multifunctional urban furniture projects developed by five working groups for Ataşehir Park 5 in the Atatürk Neighborhood. During the exhibition, attended by officials and experts from the Ataşehir Municipality Disaster Affairs and Risk Management Directorate, students presented their modular design solutions and engaged in technical discussions and exchanges of ideas.
During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Derya Oktay, Dean of the Faculty, presented certificates of appreciation to the officials of the Ataşehir Municipality Disaster Affairs and Risk Management Directorate in recognition of their contributions to the workshop. Certificates of appreciation were subsequently presented to the workshop co-chairs and coordinators: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya Soydaş Çakır, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Doğan Bilgehan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazal Şentürk, Research Assistant Neslihan Bıyıklı, and Research Assistant Simge Gül Kökçü Mangut.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of participation certificates to the students by the group coordinators, followed by a group photograph.
