Organized by the Innovation and Technology Application and Research Center at Fenerbahçe University, the “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Summit” was held on April 10, 2026, with strong participation. The event, themed “Digital Transformation in Healthcare and the Future of Artificial Intelligence”, brought together leading academics and industry representatives. The opening address was delivered by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ş. Güniz Küçükgüzel, who emphasized the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.

The first session of the event, titled “The Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem in Healthcare”, was moderated by Prof. Dr. Serhan Yarkan. During the session, Abdulkadir Kayıklı shared insights on data-driven systems and operational transformation in healthcare; Dr. Aytaç Durmaz presented on the future of AI-supported medical imaging and clinical decision support systems; and Dr. Murat Tümer discussed artificial intelligence and calibration technologies in radiological measurements.

The second session focused on “Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Practice, Rehabilitation, and Patient Care”. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Sinan Apak, the session featured Prof. Dr. Kaya Kuru, who discussed AI and data-driven transformation in the digital health ecosystem; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sevim Şahin, who addressed AI applications in clinical processes; and Prof. Dr. Arzu Özdinçler, who presented personalized AI solutions for rehabilitation and patient monitoring. Prof. Dr. Gürsel Karaçor also evaluated digitalization in healthcare, big data, and patient analytics.

The event, which provided participants with the opportunity to exchange views on current developments and future applications in the field, concluded with a closing speech by Asst. Prof. Dr. Derya Dilek Kançağı, Director of the Innovation and Technology Application and Research Center. The summit, which comprehensively addressed developments in artificial intelligence in healthcare, made a significant contribution to strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
