As part of the Investment Project Analysis course taught by Prof. Dr. Ayben Koy, faculty member at Fenerbahçe University’s Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, a class activity titled “The Art of Decision Making” was held with guest speaker Aslı Sağal. During the event, decision-making processes were examined from neuropsychological and socio-economic perspectives. Organized by Neurocta Education and Consulting, the event evaluated individuals’ decision-making mechanisms from daily life to academic and professional contexts through a multidisciplinary approach.

The event addressed the following topics:

  • The relationship between decision-making processes and the brain’s cognitive and emotional systems
  • The impact of intuition, emotions, and unconscious processes on decision-making
  • The role of the socioeconomic environment in shaping individual preferences
  • Decision-making dynamics under conditions of uncertainty, risk, and time pressure

All topics were discussed in light of current scientific research and practical examples.

Enriched by the active contributions of participants, the event provided an opportunity to approach decision-making not only as an individual skill but as a holistic process with biological, psychological, and social dimensions.
