Asst. Prof. Dr. Adil Gürsel Karaçor Speaks at Compec 2025 DataCamp Event

Asst. Prof. Dr. Adil Gürsel Karaçor from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Fenerbahçe University, participated as a guest speaker at the Compec 2025 DataCamp event organized by the Boğaziçi University Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Club.

At the event, held on November 2, 2025, at Boğaziçi University’s South Campus, Dr. Karaçor delivered a presentation on his machine learning method, the Weighted Nearest Centroid Estimator (WNCE). During his talk, he introduced the innovations that the WNCE method brings to classical classification and regression models through its simple, explainable, and transferable structure.

Dr. Karaçor also announced that the WNCE method will be shared soon as open-source software on GitHub.
