Asst. Prof. Dr. Derya Dilek Kançağı, a faculty member of the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of our university, has been selected as an active researcher in two prestigious European Union COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Actions: CA24162, AdResCanCER, which focuses on adaptive and acquired resistance mechanisms to treatment in gastrointestinal cancers, and CA24117, ILCquest, which investigates the role of innate lymphoid cells in cancer prognosis and innovative immunotherapy approaches.
These COST Actions aim to establish strong research networks across Europe by bringing together multidisciplinary approaches ranging from basic science to clinical applications.
This significant achievement further strengthens our university’s scientific capacity in cancer research, its ability to produce international projects, and its visibility within the European research ecosystem. It also holds strategic value in terms of training young researchers, increasing interdisciplinary collaboration, and laying the groundwork for future Horizon Europe projects and clinical studies.
We congratulate Asst. Prof. Dr. Derya Dilek Kançağı and all stakeholders involved, and wish them continued success.
