Cervical Cancer Awareness Training by the Radiotherapy Program at Fenerbahçe University Vocational School of Health Services

On Monday, February 16, 2026, an informational presentation was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Türkan Özdaş, a faculty member of the Radiotherapy Program at Fenerbahçe University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO), at Öğretmen Salih Nafiz Tüzün Elementary School as part of the Parent Academies program.

Organized upon invitation, the event provided parents with comprehensive information on “Cervical Cancer and Screening”. The session, which was well attended, presented scientific and up-to-date information on risk factors, prevention methods, the HPV vaccine, and national cancer screening programs.

The aim of the session was to raise awareness among parents about the importance of early detection and to encourage regular screening practices.
