Faculty of Sports Sciences Representatives Visit the Istanbul Sports Directorate

Representatives of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Fenerbahçe University visited Spor İstanbul General Director Prof. Dr. Bilge Donuk at his office. The delegation included Dean Prof. Dr. Fevziye Hülya Aşçı, Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Serpil Başer, and Head of the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ulusoy.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the development of sports services in local administrations, opportunities for university-public cooperation, expanding internship and practical training opportunities for students, and implementing joint scientific and social projects. In line with the faculty’s practice-based education approach, the importance of collaborations that strengthen students’ field experience was emphasized.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on sustainable sports policies, exercise programs that support public health, and projects aimed at increasing young people’s access to sports. It was noted that strong coordination between academia and local governments plays a strategic role in promoting sports and training qualified human resources.
