The 2025–2026 Academic Year Academic Council Meeting of the Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Communication was held on Monday, October 6, with the participation of faculty members. The opening speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Gülay Öztürk, Dean of the Faculty of Communication. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Öztürk provided a general evaluation of the 2024–2025 academic year and shared detailed information about the scientific events, academic activities, publications, student projects, and collaboration initiatives carried out throughout the year. She also highlighted the progress achieved by the faculty in the areas of research, production, and sectoral engagement, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining and furthering these accomplishments in the upcoming academic year.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Neşe Kars, Head of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, shared information about the department’s academic activities, student projects, participation in national and international conferences, and goals for the upcoming term. Prof. Dr. Kars emphasized the importance of new workshops that will enhance students’ hands-on experience and support creative production processes.
Afterwards, Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin Güregen Dereboyu, Head of the Department of New Media and Communication, presented an overview of the department’s publications, projects, events, and collaborative activities for the 2024–2025 academic year. She noted that the department’s objective for the new term is to further increase academic productivity, student engagement, and partnerships with external stakeholders.
Representing Asst. Prof. Dr. Ece Doğan Erdinç, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Promotion, Research Assistant Kübra Çorapsız delivered a presentation on the department’s activities during the 2024–2025 academic year. The presentation covered student projects, academic publications, social responsibility initiatives, and sectoral collaborations.
