Fenerbahçe University’s 2nd National Short Film Festival Has Begun

Fenerbahçe University’s 2nd National Short Film Festival, held from May 5-7, 2026, began with an opening ceremony in the Blue Hall of Block F.

Organized under the direction of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümmühan Molo Karatay, the festival opened with speeches by Fenerbahçe University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Şükriye Güniz Küçükgüzel and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Rukiye Gülay Öztürk.

Following the opening speeches, the first day of the festival, sponsored by G-Fity , Gemedya , Black Coffee Co. , and Kadrext, featured a panel titled “Creative Processes in Cinema.” Moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hilal Aytimur, the panel brought together screenwriter Fulya Özcan Gomez, Netflix Türkiye production manager Oya Aytimur Duman, production designer Vahit Yazıcı, and actor/writer Feride Çetin, who shared their professional experiences with students and participants.
