Fenerbahçe University Occupational Therapy Club organized a program titled “Occupational Therapy Approaches in Cancer” to highlight occupational therapy practices in the field of cancer and raise awareness in this area. The event, held on February 24, 2026, was attended by a large number of students.
During the two sessions of the program, occupational therapy approaches that support the quality of life of individuals undergoing cancer treatment were discussed. Presentations by experienced speakers included information on practices aimed at increasing the participation of individuals diagnosed with cancer in daily life activities, the role of occupational therapy in the rehabilitation process, and the profession’s contributions in this field.
Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to learn both theoretical information and real-world experiences. The program emphasized the importance of occupational therapy in improving the quality of life of individuals battling cancer, while also contributing to the development of students’ professional perspectives and their understanding of different areas of practice.
