Mehmet Can Hancılar, an autistic student and athlete in the second year of the Coaching Education Department at our university, participated in the 15th Uğur Mumcu Memorial 10K Road Race organized by Kartal Municipality on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Our student successfully completed the 10 kilometer course among 1,500 participants, finishing in 1,033rd place. Mehmet Can Hancılar’s participation once again demonstrated that individuals with autism can be active in sports and academic life and can be visible in all areas of society through sports.
