The results of the 2024/1 term evaluation for the “2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program” carried out by TÜBİTAK’s Directorate of Science Fellowships and Grant Programs (BİDEB) have been announced.

In this context, projects of 21 students from 4 faculties—Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Faculty of Sports Sciences—have been selected for support.

From the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology, our project manager student Sultan Halenur DOST and her advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Alp Giray KAYA have been accepted with their project titled “An Evaluation of University Students’ Academic Motivation and Determination of Their Attitudes Toward Artificial Intelligence.”

Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin GÜREGEN DEREBOYU have been accepted with their project titled “Girls Ask ‘AI Influencers’: User Interaction With Chatbots From the Perspective of Anthropomorphism and the Uncanny Valley.”

From the Faculty of Communication, Department of New Media and Communication, our project manager student Kamer ŞİMŞEK and his advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin GÜREGEN DEREBOYU have been accepted with their project titled “The Relationship Between Social Media Usage Motivations, Emotional Contagion Levels, Trust in Social Media News, and Fact-Checking Habits.”

Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin GÜREGEN DEREBOYU have been accepted with their project titled “An Intergenerational Study on Impression Management and Toxic Positivity on Instagram.”

From the Faculty of Communication, Department of New Media and Communication, our project manager student Ekin Işık UÇARMAN and her advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Pelin GÜREGEN DEREBOYU have been accepted with their project titled “Swipe Culture: An Examination of the Relationships Between Attention Deficit, Short Video Addiction, and Short Video Streaming.”

From the Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Advertising, our project manager student Enes ARDA and his advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hikmet TOSYALI have been accepted with their project titled “The Suicide of Originality: A Critical Perspective on Branding and Consumption.”

Prof. Dr. Ece DOĞAN ERDİNÇ have been accepted with their project titled “E-Responsible Consumption: A Study on the High Return Rates in Online Shopping.”

From the Faculty of Health Sciences, department of Midwifery, our project manager student Özlem Nur YAVUZ and her advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Sinem DİNMEZ have been accepted with their project titled “Social Determinants in the Termination of Breastfeeding Before Age 2: A Retrospective Study.”

Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gül BURSA have been accepted with their project titled “The Relationship Between Midwifery Students’ Attitudes Toward Dating Violence, Depression, and Their Perceived Social Support.”
