The event titled “Preventing Infectious Diseases After an Earthquake” organized by the Fenerbahçe University Science Communication Office, was held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 13:00 at the İnal Aydınoğlu Cultural Center.
Prof. Dr. Hasibe Kadıoğlu, Chair of the Department of Nursing at Fenerbahçe University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, discussed in detail the risks of infectious diseases that may arise after an earthquake, ways to prevent these risks, and the measures that need to be taken to protect public health. She also addressed the protective measures that individuals and communities can take in the aftermath of a disaster, the protection of vulnerable groups, and ensuring sustainable access to health services.
The event, which attracted significant interest from participants, concluded with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views following Prof. Dr. Hasibe Kadıoğlu’s presentation.
