The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİYOSAD and BİOSB, and Prof. Dr. Fatma Kanca, Rector of Fenerbahçe University.
Dr. Ercan Varlıbaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİYOSAD and BİOSB, stated in his remarks following the signing ceremony: “As Biotechnology Valley, our goal is to maximize our country’s potential in the field of biotechnology and to bring science and industry together within a robust ecosystem. Every new collaboration is a concrete step toward this vision and plays a critical role in enhancing our country’s innovation capacity. The Strategic Collaboration Protocol we signed with Fenerbahçe University will facilitate the integration of young researchers with industrial experience and the incorporation of academic knowledge into real production processes. In this way, we are building a sustainable ecosystem not only for today but also for future generations.”
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Fenerbahçe University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Kanca stated that Fenerbahçe University promotes interdisciplinary research and has adopted a practice-based approach to education. She added that, through this collaboration with Biotechnology Valley, they aim to bring academic knowledge out of laboratories and into the real sector, enable students to receive on-site training through a “sector-focused education” program, and cultivate a qualified workforce.
