On April 28, 2025, Fenerbahçe University Vocational School of Health Services Radiotherapy Program students gathered for a special event that connected them with industry professionals.

Adnan Şafek, an experienced radiotherapy professional, shared valuable insights into his career during his presentation titled "Professional Journey as a Radiotherapy Technician." The presentation addressed fundamental questions such as "Who is a radiotherapy technician? What do they do? What are their responsibilities?" In addition, topics including the role of radiotherapy technicians in Turkey and globally, the workflow in radiation oncology, and the evolution of radiotherapy from past to present were discussed in detail.

The students were also informed about the work of the Radiotherapy Technicians Association, international organizations such as ESTRO and SEETRO, and the contributions these organizations make to professional development and global solidarity among radiotherapy technicians.

Moreover, key recommendations for career development and essential points for students to consider in their professional journey were shared.

At the end of the interactive and friendly presentation, students had the opportunity to ask questions related to the sector.
