English Language and Literature

During the 4 years of their education, our students learn about the different aspects of culture, literature, and language, offered in a variety of courses including textual analysis, criticism, theory, translation, mythology, American and Cultural Studies. With the help of such an education, our students become well-versed in all aspects of Western Culture with an ability to conduct interdisciplinary research. The programme also offers a variety of elective courses, giving our students the chance to specialise in their fields of choice in the later stages of their education, be it translation, theatre, theory, psychology, etc. 

What distinguishes Fenerbahçe University’s English Language and Literature Programme is the opportunity given to students to apply their theoretical knowledge during their education. Through elective and applied courses like “Community Interpreting”, our students will be able to be trained at companies and institutions related to Fenerbahçe Sports Club and Medicana Health Group.

Another distinguishing feature of our programme is the opportunity to have double major and minor degrees in Management Information Systems, Public Relations and Advertising, Political Science and International Relations, New Media and Communication departments.

Our graduates can find jobs in all areas that are related to language and culture like education, media, international trade, and government institutions.
